Louisiana State Police apprehended a suspect in a Baton Rouge stabbing incident over the weekend during a traffic stop in Crowley. State Police believe that Connor Regan was fleeing to Texas at the time he was apprehended.

According to Baton Rouge Police Regan was the only suspect in a stabbing that took place at Jefferson Highway Apartment early Saturday morning. Police say the victim, Kinnedy Smith was pronounced dead at the scene about 6 am on Saturday and that's when the search for Regan began.

Regan who was taken to a local hospital in Crowley for treatment of wounds believed to have been received during the altercation with Smith. Following that treatment, he was arrested and has been transported back to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He has been charged with 2nd degree -murder.
