Breaking: LPD Investigating Sherwood Drive Shooting

Lafayette Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Sherwood Drive.

LPD Spokesman Cpl. Karl Ratcliff said officers responded tot the shooting in the 100 block of Sherwood Drive at around 12 p.m.

At the scene, police discovered a 27-year-old black male victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

.This shooting is not believed to be at all related to the fatal shooting that occurred just hours prior at a different location in the city.
