Do You Need Sandbags?

With serious weather expected this afternoon into this evening, and possibly even into Wednesday, there are some areas of Acadiana where places have been set up for sandbad distribution.

In Iberia Parish, the locations are as follows:

• The BOM Fire Station, 3017 Old Jeanerette Road
• Rynella Fire Station, 5105 Avery Island Road in New Iberia
• Coteau Fire Station, 4715 Coteau Rd, New Iberia

For the city of New Iberia, the sandbags will be availabe at the following location:

• Public Works Department will hand out filled sandbags from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at 907 Fulton Street.

We shall update the list if other communities offer sandbag locations.
