A couple of people in Vernon Parish just took the whole Porch Pirate thing to a whole new level.

The Vernon Parish Police Dept. are investigating the theft of a FedEx semi truck and trailer and are hoping you can help them identify the thieves.

According to KATC, the FedEx semi and trailer were stolen "March 19, 2021 at around 3:59 p.m. while the truck was parked in the roadway on Highway 1146."

According to police the Fedex driver pulled over to the shoulder of Highway 1146 to make a delivery. While the driver was away from the vehicle making the delivery, a red truck pulls over on the side of the highway and parks in front of the FedEx truck.

At that point the driver of the red truck gets out, hops into the FedEx semi and takes off while a second suspect drives away in the red truck.

The FedEx semi and trailer was later found in the area of Simmons Road.

The theft was all caught on the FedEx vehicle's internal camera.
