Grant Money To Spruce Up Opelousas Is Being Offered

The Opelousas Main Street program is making some money available in the form of grants for working to make improvement in the downtown area.  Grant money up to 10-thousand dollars will be available to entities looking to spruce up property in the downtown area of Opelousas.

The money will be part of matching money that will be coming from the state of Louisiana.  The state program's goal is to help get developments going in downtown areas across the state.  The grant money will be be given to both small and major projects, and amounts will vary.
