Harvey Man Killed In St. Landry Parish Crash

ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KPEL) -- A Harvey man was killed early Sunday morning following a crash in St. Landry Parish.

State Police Trooper Stephen Hammons says 22-year-old Jarrod Dumes was driving on La. Hwy. 10 at 4:28 a.m. when he drove off the right side of the road, overcorrected, drove off the other side of the highway, and crashed into a tree.

Hammons says Dumes was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
