Historic Powerball Win Confirmed: Wednesday Texas Lottery Results
Texas Lottery players had a lot on the line in not only the Wednesday night drawing for Powerball. But there was a very nice jackpot prize available in the Lotto Texas with Extra! game on Wednesday night too.
Players from Abilene to Zapata anxiously awaited the draw in hopes that they could emulate big wins like those from last September in Schertz, Texas where a ticket took home a prize of $150,000 or even better a $2 million Powerball win that happened in Victoria.
Last night, Powerball drew for an estimated top prize of $153.6 million, and Lotto Texas with Extra! drew for its top prize of $80.75 million. Here is how those drawings played out. First, let's look at the multi-state lottery game Powerball. Here's the video from Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Our sources at Powerball confirmed that no ticket sold for Wednesday's drawing matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize. There was a Match 5 Million winner sold in Mississippi. Not only did that ticket earn one million dollars for its purchaser, but the ticket invoked the Power Play option for the drawing too.
That means the Mississippi winner will earn $2 million dollars. This brings us to the "historical aspect" of a recent Powerball drawing. Mississippi has only been participating in Powerball since 2018. In a Double Play Powerball drawing on Monday, February 10th, a Mississippi-sold ticket won the largest lottery prize ever awarded in that state.
The Double Play Powerball jackpot had only been won by players in Maryland, Florida, and Kentucky, but on Monday a Mississippi-sold ticket earned that game's top prize for the first time in its history. The payout was $10 million. Which is, as of this moment, the largest lottery prize ever won in the Magnolia State.
The Texas Lottery did confirm that the Lone Star State had a big winner on Wednesday night. According to our sources in Austin, a Texas-sold ticket matched four of five white balls and the Powerball on Wednesday. They also had the Power Play multiplier on their ticket. That means the take home from Wednesday for that ticket holder is $150,000.
And once again a Texas ticket is the "bridesmaid" producing the second largest prize of the evening behind the big Mississippi win we told you about earlier. If you'd like to check your numbers, here is what we saw in Wednesday's drawing.

Lotto Texas with Extra! drew for over $80 million on Wednesday. That game did not get a jackpot winner either. But there are more than two dozen Texans who are still probably glad they played the game.
Texas Lottery sources say twenty tickets sold for Lotto Texas with Extra! earned a prize of $1,755.00 on Wednesday night. Another eight tickets, that had the same number match scenario of matching 5 of 6 in Lotto Texas, earned $11,175.00. Those ticket purchasers sprung for the "Extra" in Lotto Texas with Extra!
Your next chance to be Texas' newest millionaire will come on Friday when Mega Millions draws for a top prize of $129 million for the estimated annuity. That drawing is set for 10 on Friday night.
