I-10 Traffic Stop Yields Almost $1Million In Narcotics
Lafayette Police have seized nearly a million dollars worth of narcotics in a single traffic stop.
On Monday night around 11 p.m., Lafayette police officers, K9 officers and Crime Suppression Agents conducted the traffic stop on I-10 that yielded a discovery of more than 912-thousand dollars worth of drugs.
Multiple arrests were made in connection to the drug bust.
The drugs seized included:
- $600,600 worth of methamphetamine
- $28,260 worth of Marijuana
- $283,800 worth of Promethazine (commercial name-Phenergan)
Lafayette PD spokesperson Cpl. Karl Ratcliff said the investigation is ongoing.
