Accident On I-49 Near Grand Coteau Involving Multiple Vehicles Leaves Several Injured, One Confirmed Fatality

A multiple-vehicle crash on I-49 near Grand Coteau has left several people injured and at least one person dead.

UPDATE: All lanes are now open on I-49.

According to our media partners at KATC, both lanes were shut down due to the crash that happened near mile marker 8.

Louisiana State Police could not confirm the total number of vehicles involved but did confirm one fatality.
