Iberia Parish Investigating Hit & Run

Iberia Parish Sheriff's officials say a man was airlifted to a Lafayette hospital today after being hit by a car while walking down Mixon Street just before 9 o'clock this morning.

The Iberia Sheriff's Department says the car that hit the man took off from the scene, and they think the driver intentionally hit the victim.

They are not releasing any information at this time, but they do believe they have a person of interest in this hit and run case.
