Louisiana Golf Course Covered in Large Pieces of Hail
(New Iberia, Louisiana) - A line of thunderstorms swept through a portion of Acadiana early Tuesday afternoon, and we received several photos of hail on the ground.
At my home in the center of Lafayette, we got hail about the size of marbles on the ground, and it fell for about ten minutes.
Other photos submitted to us via social media show some pieces of hail much smaller than what fell at my house, and while other photos show much larger pieces of ice in Acadiana.

In New Iberia, Craig Blallock posted a photo from a local golf course, and as you'll see below, the hail was much larger than what we got in Lafayette.
You can see large pieces of hail scattered across the course, and we hope that there wasn't much damage done in this hailstorm.
We may see more severe weather in Acadiana on Tuesday night, with some storms dropping more hail and producing damaging winds.
Take a look at a few more photos submitted to us as the hail fell early Tuesday afternoon in portions of Lafayette and surrounding areas.
