Jeanerette Man Struck and Killed Walking Down The Road

Louisiana State Police say a pedestrian was killed while walking along Highway 182 east of the Jeanerette area.

The accident happend at 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, and the victim has been identified as 22-year-old Benjamin Breaux from Jeanerette.

State Police report that Breaux was hit from behind by a car driven by 51-year-old Elizabeth Delahoussaye, also from Jeanerette.

State Police say their investigation into the crash is ongoing.
