LA Attorney General’s Office Arrests Illegal Alien On Murder Charge

Attorney General Buddy Caldwell says investigators with his Fugitive Apprehension Unit have arrested 26 year old Edu Antonio Varel-Lopez on a murder warrant from North Carolina. Varel-Lopez is a Honduran national in the country illegally who fled to Louisiana from North Carolina where is accused of a June 27th murder. Varel-Lopez was captured Tuesday evening at a residential construction site in New Orleans. Varel-Lopez is currently lodged in the Orleans Parish Jail awaiting extradition. .
