A 25-year-old Louisiana man was arrested recently and accused of his fourth DWI after police said he killed a pedestrian.

According to the Lake Charles Police Department, just before 4:00 am this past Sunday, February 23rd, officers were called about a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.

First responders attempted life-saving measures, but unfortunately, the victim died from his injuries.

He was later identified as 26-year-old Robert Wyckoff Jr.

The driver of the vehicle was identified by police as 25-year-old Broc Dearman. Officers said he was driving under the influence and that this was the man's fourth such offense.

Dearman was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Fourth-offense DWI
  • Vehicular Homicide
  • Driving Under Suspension

No other information has been released at this time and the investigation remains under investigation.
