Louisiana Motorist Loses Control, Crashes into House in Devastating Crash
Louisiana State Police investigators were called out to the scene of a one-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 21 that led to the death of a man after he was ejected from his car.
According to Louisiana State Police, Marc Gremillion, with the Public Affairs Section of State Police, the 34-year-old man was driving down the roadway when he failed to maintain his vehicle when there was a left-hand curve.
What Do Investigators Know About The Crash?
Gremillion says the preliminary investigation does not yet have a reason why Joshua Curry of Covington did not notice and react to the curve in the roadway. They do know that Curry was not wearing a seatbelt.
As the vehicle went off of the roadway, Curry was thrown out of the car and was severely injured. Gremillion says the man was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner's office.
A routine blood sample was taken for toxicology analysis, which is standard procedure in a fatal crash investigation.
Where Did The Crash Happen?
The crash happened on Louisiana Highway 21 near Easterling Landing Road in Washington Parish near Bogalusa. Curry is from Covington.
What Do State Police Officials Want Drivers To Know?
- Drivers are asked never to allow anything to distract them while driving.
- As a driver, you should never drive if you are impaired by any substance.
- If you are fatigued, you should not drive.
- Anyone in a vehicle must be wearing a seatbelt.
