
Louisiana Student Stabbed at School, One in Custody
One student at a school in Louisiana was stabbed and taken to a hospital Tuesday morning, and another was taken into custody.
WAFB reports that the stabbing happened at Livonia High School on Tuesday morning.
According to their report, a 15-year-old student used a large folding knife to stab another student, while they were waiting to go through metal detectors at the school's entrance.
The student who was stabbed sustained an injury to their shoulder region.
The school was placed on lockdown as several police agencies responded to the stabbing on campus, and ultimately, all of the students at Livonia High School were sent home.
A source told the Baton Rouge news station that there was a lot of blood as a result of the stabbing, but the student is in stable condition and the injuries were not life-threatening.
