A Lafayette man that police say is responsible for carjacking a woman and robbing a bank last week, has now been booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

Police says that 31-year-old Justin Reed Seawright was found by authorities last week at a motel in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, and he was brought back to Lafayette early Monday.

Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Captain Kip Judice says Seawright is still waiting for his first court appearance.  No bond has been set in the case yet.

Seawright was arrested by U.S. Marshals after they raided his hotel room in Bay St. Louis.
