Mega Millions Confirms Major Texas Lottery Win on Tuesday Night

Everything is bigger in Texas, I guess that holds true for the Shrimporee Festival in Aransas Pass, CritterFest in Lubbock, and the Watermelon Thump in Luling. And when it comes to winning money playing Texas Lottery games, no prize was bigger than the one won last night by a Texas-sold Mega Millions lottery ticket.

There was no ticket sold across the Mega Millions footprint that matched all the numbers needed to claim Tuesday's estimated jackpot of $95 million. But of all the prizes awarded in last night's game we can confirm a Texas-sold ticket earned the largest one that was given out.

According to the Texas Lottery, there were two Texas-sold tickets that matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball in Tuesday's drawing. One of those tickets opted for the Megplier, the other did not. One ticket won $30,000, the other ticket won $10,000. The $30,000 prize was the largest prize awarded in Tuesday's drawing.

By the way, a Mega Millions ticket sold across the state line in Louisiana earned that same $30,000 prize so if you played Mega Millions across "state lines" you could be holding a $30,000 win from Louisiana.
