Everything is bigger in Texas, I guess that holds true for the Shrimporee Festival in Aransas Pass, CritterFest in Lubbock, and the Watermelon Thump in Luling. In no other state are celebrations of this kind as big. And when it comes to winning money playing Texas Lottery games, no prize was bigger than the one won last night by a Texas-sold Mega Millions lottery ticket.

The Mega Millions game is the forerunner of multi-state lottery games in Texas. The multi-state big-money lottery has been a fixture in Texas since 2003. Meanwhile, the other multi-state "jackpot" game available through the Texas Lottery, Powerball, has only been played in Texas since  2010.

Both Powerball and Mega Millions have created instant millionaires in the Lone Star State and last night Texas Lottery players had a chance to win $95 million playing Mega Millions. Here is how that drawing played out at 10 last night.

There was no ticket sold across the Mega Millions footprint that matched all the numbers needed to claim Tuesday's estimated jackpot of $95 million. But of all the prizes awarded in last night's game we can confirm a Texas-sold ticket earned the largest one that was given out.

According to the Texas Lottery, there were two Texas-sold tickets that matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball in Tuesday's drawing. One of those tickets opted for the Megplier, the other did not. One ticket won $30,000, the other ticket won $10,000. The $30,000 prize was the largest prize awarded in Tuesday's drawing.

By the way, a Mega Millions ticket sold across the state line in Louisiana earned that same $30,000 prize so if you played Mega Millions across "state lines" you could be holding a $30,000 win from Louisiana.

Here are the numbers from Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing:

04   14   35   49   62   Mega Ball 06   Megaplier x3

Use those numbers to check your tickets and if you feel you're holding a winner please verify that ticket at the Official Texas Lottery website or the Official Mega Millions website. Those sites are the "sites of record" and not only do they have the official results they can offer great information on prize redemption too.

Up next for those seeking instant millions are tonight's Powerball and Lotto Texas with Extra! drawings. Powerball will draw for a jackpot of $303 million, which is the estimated annuitized jackpot.

Lotto Texas with Extra! which hasn't had a jackpot winner since last June will also draw on Wednesday night. That game's top prize is an estimated $68.75 million. Needless to say, a jackpot win in either game would go a long way in securing your family's financial future.

And speaking of your family and your financial future the lottery is not the best place to fund your retirement or your day-to-day life. The games are fun to play but there is a risk of losing money. If you feel your desire to play has outpaced your better judgment please get help. You may call 1-800- GAMBLER to talk to a trained counselor who can connect you and your family with compassionate people who understand your situation and want to help. Good Luck.
