Mega Win – Texas Lottery, Mega Millions Confirm Friday Winner

The Texas Lottery uses the phrase " You can't win if you don't Play" as part of their marketing strategy. Evidently, Texans have bought into the idea because there has been yet another massive Mega Millions lottery win in the state.

This comes on the heels of a recent Mega Millions win in San Antonio for three million dollars and another last September in Lubbock when a Texas-sold Mega Millions winner paid out for a cool million.

Friday night the Mega Millions multi-state lottery game was offering a top prize of $28 million. That was the estimated value of the annuity prize, here is how that drawing played out.

Our sources at Mega Millions did confirm that no single ticket matched the numbers needed to claim the game's jackpot prize of $28 million. So, the Mega Millions prize will grow to an estimated $44 million when they hold the next drawing on Tuesday night.

And while there was no single ticket that matched all the numbers needed to win the jackpot the Texas Lottery did confirm that a Texas-sold ticket earned a Match 5 Million prize. In other words, the ticket matched all of the white ball numbers but not the gold Mega Ball.

Tonight the attention will shift from Mega Millions to Powerball and Lotto Texas with Extra!. The Lotto Texas jackpot is actually larger than the Powerball jackpot. Lotto Texas will draw for an estimated $72 million, and Powerball will draw for an estimated $46 million.
