MISSING CHILD ALERT: Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help to Locate Endangered Runaway

fThe Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help in locating Mason Melancon, a 15-year-old who has been reported missing from Lafayette Parish. Mason is considered an endangered runaway, and authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

Mason was last seen on Tuesday (Sep. 10), near Carencro. He was wearing a light blue long-sleeved shirt, khaki pants, and white shoes at the time of his disappearance. Mason is described as having brown hair and brown eyes, standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds.

Authorities are concerned for Mason's safety and encourage anyone who may have seen him or has any information regarding his location to contact the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office immediately.
