New Iberia Man Killed In Fiery Crash

A New Iberia man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.

Louisiana State Police reports 38-year-old Scott Ward was driving on a service road near La. 83 in Iberia Parish around 10 a.m. when he drove off the road and struck a tree. The vehicle subsequently caught fire.

Ward was pronounced dead at the scene by the Iberia Parish Coroner's office.

The crash remains under investigation.
