
One Dead in Louisiana After Car Goes Over Interstate Railing
UPDATE: The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 28-year-old Gemico Ruffin.
BATON ROUGE, La. (KPEL-FM) - One person was killed on Sunday afternoon, April 6, after the car they were driving went over an interstate guardrail in Baton Rouge.
When Did the Fatal Crash Happen?
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the crash happened around 4:30 pm near Capitol Access Road and Chippewa Street when a vehicle drove over the railing on I-110.
Investigation Into the Crash
Traffic homicide detectives were called out to the scene as the driver of the vehicle died from the injuries in the crash, officials said.

I-110 South was closed at North 22nd Street for a few hours due to the crash. The process was finished around 6:45 pm, and the road reopened.
Has the Deceased Person Been Identified?
The identity of the person who died has not yet been released.
