Wings of Rescue is flying 88 dogs and 20 cats from Acadiana Animal Aid in Lafayette, Louisiana to San Diego, California in an effort to make room for any animals displaced by flooding in Texas and Louisiana.

According to a post on the Wings of Rescue Facebook page, the organization will be heading out on their first Hurricane Harvey storm relief flight on Monday, Augst 28th.

Hurricane Harvey Update! Wings of Rescue in conjunction with our GreaterGood.org Freekibble and Rescue Bank is flying our first Hurricane Harvey storm relief flight tomorrow carrying 88 dogs and 20 cats from Acadiana Animal Aid in Lafayette Louisiana. These pets had all been in shelters prior to the storm and are being sent to San Diego's Rancho Coastal Humane, San Diego Humane and Labrador and Friends Rescue. We will be livestreaming video starting at 7:30 A.M. C.D.T. By flying them out displaced dogs from the flooding in Houston and western Louisiana will have safety where they can be reunited with their family. This will be the first of many emergency rescue flights this week.
