Overturned 18-Wheeler Shuts Down I-10 Westbound Exit Ramp Near Jennings

JENNINGS, La. (KPEL) -- An overturned 18-wheeler will have an Interstate 10 exit ramp near Jennings closed for at least the next four hours.

Jennings Police say the 18-wheeler overturned at an exit ramp near mile marker 65. It is preventing traffic from exiting the interstate or from getting onto I-10 westbound.

State Police say the 18-wheeler is spilling chemicals onto the roadway. They ask that drivers avoid that area.

Reports indicate traffic is flowing freely through the area, and there are no reports of congestion at this time.
