Pedestrian Death In Lafayette Parish

Last night at 11:30, there was another death of a pedestrian in Acadiana

Spokesman for Louisiana State Police Troop I Thomas Gossen says that the fatal crash happened on Interstate 49 near mile marker 7, and took the life of a man from Houston, Texas.

Gossesn says the crash resulted in the death of 48-year-old Kittitone Sinakone as he was walking along the southbound side of Interstate 49 near mile marker 7.

Whoever hit Sinakone kept on going.

Standard toxicology test are pending on Sinakone.

Anyone who has any information about this situation is asked to call police.

Gossen reminds pedestrians to observe all traffic laws, and to remember to wear reflective clothing.
