Police Seek Clues In Church Vandalism

Early Sunday morning, around 4:50 am, Lafayette Police responded to the 1000 block of Plum Street regarding vandalism to a church. The front of the St. James Baptist Church had numerous derogatory words painted  on its exterior walls and several threating notes left on the front doors to the entrance way.  Investigators received information that possibly three suspects driving a white SUV were responsible for the vandalism.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crime or the identity of the suspects involved to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
