It has been a tumultuous week in Texas. If you've been following the news much of South Texas including Brownsville and South Padre Island were inundated by heavy rains from Hurricane Francine. For a time on Monday, it looked like the storm could make landfall in Texas but it did not. And then on Tuesday night, the Texas Lottery confirmed a Texas-sold Mega Millions ticket hit it big for a jackpot prize of $800 million.

Then came Wednesday's Powerball drawing for $135.5 million and the Lotto Texas with Extra! drawing featuring a top prize of $18.25 million. And that's how we wound up where we are right now.

Here's how the Wednesday draw games from the Texas Lottery panned out. The Lotto Texas with Extra! game had a top prize of $18.25 million when the balls dropped on Wednesday night.

There was no jackpot winner. But three tickets sold for the game did earn a prize of $12,013. Another ten tickets sold for Lotto Texas with Extra! earned a prize of $2,013. Not a bad payday at all. The Lotto jackpot will climb to an estimated $19 million when they draw again in that game on Saturday night.

Our sources at the Texas Lottery confirmed Wednesday's Powerball game did produce some big-money wins in Texas. The largest of which was a ticket sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. By rule that ticket is worth $50,000. The Texas Lottery does not reveal point of purchase details on prizes of less than $1 million so we can't reveal where that big-money winner was sold.

But we can show you the drawing from Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

The numbers that rolled out of the hopper last night for Powerball were:

10   12   55   65   67   Powerball 03   Power Play x2

Use those numbers for reference but if you think you have a winning ticket you need to visit the Official Powerball Website or the Official Texas Lottery Website. Those sites can verify your winnings and offer information on where and how to claim your winnings.

Speaking of winnings, according to the Texas Lottery 33,308 tickets sold for Powerball in Texas returned a prize to the ticket purchaser. The largest prize was the $50,000 we told you about earlier, the smallest prize was $4 and the Texas Lottery says almost 31,000 players won that.

Powerball game officials say no tickets sold throughout the game's footprint matched the numbers needed to win the jackpot prize. That jackpot will now grow to an estimated $152 million for Saturday's drawing.
