Powerball, Texas Lottery Confirm Massive Win Monday Night
Since it's Valentine's Week we asked a question of our fellow Texans, "Would you rather be lucky in love, or lucky at the lottery"? The resounding reply from Waskom to Wichita Falls and Brenham to Brownsville was "Yes". Texans are sneaky, if you don't ask a question the correct way that's the kind of answer you get.
I for one cannot disagree with those who feel winning at romance and winning at Texas Lottery games can go hand in hand. And on Monday night for one Powerball player who purchased their chance at millions through the Texas Lottery, I am thinking the chances of monetarily induced romantic situations have increased dramatically.
Sorry, that's just a roundabout way of saying we had a big Powerball winner on a Texas-sold ticket on Monday night. If you didn't see the drawing for February 10, 2025, here is how that played out.
As you heard our host explain, the life-changing jackpot on offer from Powerball last night was estimated to be $141.5 million. That would translate to $65.6 million for the cash payout or what I call the "lump sum". It doesn't matter what we call it because nobody won it.
Our sources at Powerball did confirm a Match 5 Million ticket was sold in Wisconsin but as has been the case in recent Mega Millions and Powerball drawings, a Texas-sold ticket won the second largest prize that was awarded in the drawing.
In the case of last night, we have confirmed through the Texas Lottery that a $150,000 winner was sold in Texas. I am guessing you want to see what the numbers were, right?

The Texas Lottery revealed that just under 24,500 tickets sold for last night's Powerball in Texas returned prize money to the ticket purchaser. In the case of one ticket that matched four of five white balls and the Powerball with the Power Play, the amount owed is $150,000.
If you have checked your numbers against ours and want to confirm your win, you'll need to visit the Texas Lottery website. You can also verify numbers at the Powerball website, but this link to the Texas Lottery site is the best one to use.
Lotto Texas with Extra made four winners of $12,684 last night plus an additional eleven winners of $2,684. But the game has still not found a jackpot winner. It's been since June of last year and the next time they draw for Lotto Texas with Extra! the estimated jackpot prize will be $80.75 million. No, it's not the largest jackpot in the game's history but it's getting on up there, that's for sure.
If you can't wait to become Texas's next millionaire you could try your luck at Mega Millions tonight. That game has a top prize of $110 million for the estimated annuity. Please remember all lottery games come with a risk of losing money so play responsibly. If you need help with a gambling problem call 1-800-GAMBLER. The call and the service offered are free for you and your family. Good Luck.
