Abbeville Man Arrested In April Homicide Case

27-year-old Dequincy Jamel Lewis of Abbeville has been arrested for the home invasion and homicide of 23-year-old Justin Primeaux of Cade.

Lewis has been booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on 1 Count of 1st Degree Murder. No bond has been set.

The investigation continues as deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office continues to look for the second suspect. Officials with the St. Martin Parish Parish Crime Stoppers are asking for help in solving a crime that happened in April.

The shooting took the life of 23-year-old Justin Primeaux of Cade.

Major Ginny Higgins told us last month that the shooting happened during a home invasion on April 20.

She says there are two suspects that they have been seeking in connection with the case.

They were described as two short, stocky black males wearing black bandanas.

Higgins says deputies were called out to the 1000 block of Vieux Jacquet Road to start investigate the shooting. Primeaux was taken to the hospital, but he later died from his injuries.
