State Police Working Vehicle Fire On I-10

UPDATE: The state's Department of Transportation and Development say Interstate 10 eastbound near Jennings is now closed due to a fire involving a semi truck.

KATC reports the backup from the incident has now reached one mile.

ORIGINAL: Louisiana State Police are working an incident on Interstate 10 eastbound near the Acadia and Jefferson Davis Parish line.

According to an automated alert from Nixle, police said the roadway was down to one lane due to a vehicle fire.

Delays are expected.
