Sunday Morning Crash Leaves Texas Man Dead

Gilbert Talafuse of Houston was driving his truck on highway 99 when police say he lost control. The truck left the road and traveled over 160 feet before hitting a mail box, then another 350 feet before stopping on a concrete driveway.

Excessive speed and driver impairment are suspected to be factors in the crash according to police. A toxicology report is being conducted.
