Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson says that 24-year-old Darius V. Thomas, wanted on charges of first degree murder, is now in police custody.

According to Gibson, Thomas and the victim, 24-year-old Daniel Tezeno Jr., were riding in a vehicle together when an argument ensued. During the argument, it is believed that Thomas shot Tezeno as he was trying to flee the vehicle. Investigators believe robbery is considered as a main motive in the shooting.

Officers located the victim and transported him to Acadiana General Hospital where he died from his injuries.
