Teacher at Parkway Arrested for Sexual Relations With a Student

A Bossier Parish Schools substitute teacher was arrested Wednesday afternoon for having inappropriate sexual relations with a teenage student, according to a Facebook post made by the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office.

42 year old Melissa E. West, a substitute teacher at Parkway High School, was arrested by officers with BPSO on charges of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Allegedly, West not only had an inappropriate sexual relationship with the unnamed and obviously underage student - she is also accused of  sending inappropriate photos of herself to the student via social media.

According to the information released by the BPSO, the incident occurred a few months ago.  Melissa West is currently being held in the Bossier Maximum Security Facility, no bond has been set at this time, and officials are continuing their investigation.
