A Texas day care worker was arrested after allegations surfaced that she had kicked six children a total of 134 times in a three-month span of time earlier this year, according to CBS 19.

Authorities arrested Catherine Guziejka on six counts of injury to a child for allegedly kicking these two-year-old children multiple times.

The Smith County Sheriff's Office is reviewing footage from the surveillance cameras at Punkin' Doodle Day Care in Lindale, Texas. The situation came to light after a person who works at the facility came across some surveillance of an incident and told one of the victim's parents about what happened.

The Smith County Sheriff's Office told the television station,

....it was apparent that Guziejka's actions were random, intentional, unprovoked, violent in nature and done for the sole intent of inflicting pain.

The Sheriff's Office says in addition to allegedly kicking those six children, she has also been accused of standing on the hands of children as a form of punishment. Sheriff's officials also accuse the woman of walking up to one child who was just sitting there watching TV and kicking him in the back. On other occasions, they say, she can be seen dragging napping children by their arms to the changing table and aggressively handling them once they are on the table.

Officials say the children were doing nothing at the time the woman kicked them.

The daycare owner fired Guziejka immediately after learning of the situation, and the business has been sold to another owner.
