The Texas Lottery is confirming details from their offices in Austin, Texas about yet another Powerball winner in the Lone Star State. The Powerball game and the Mega Millions game, both multi-state lottery games, have produced some life-changing wins for Texas lottery players.

Mega Millions, in recent weeks, has produced a $3 million winner in the Greater Houston, Texas area as well as a pair of $50,000 winners in Spring and Hondo. Meanwhile, Powerball has generated some high-dollar tickets too. Just a few months ago a ticket sold in Gainesville, Texas earned a $50,000 prize and at the beginning of the summer a ticket sold in San Antonio claimed $1 million in Powerball winnings.

Apparently, Lady Luck likes hanging out in Texas because "the Lady" used her magic to create yet another big Texas Lottery win in the September 4, 2024 Powerball drawing. Here's how that drawing looked when it happened Wednesday at 10 pm.

If you watched the video you heard the host explain that Wednesday's jackpot was estimated to be $94.5 million. To claim the game's top prize a ticket must match the five "white ball" numbers drawn and the one "red ball" Powerball. The "white ball" numbers range from 1 to 69 and the Powerball numbers range from 1 to 26.

The game offers prizes on tickets that have certain combinations of the numbers that are drawn. From what we've read your odds of winning any prize on a Powerball ticket are one in twenty-five. Those odds grow a lot longer when you're discussing the possibility of holding a ticket that matches the numbers needed to claim a jackpot.

Speaking of jackpots, our source at Powerball has confirmed that no tickets sold for Wednesday night's game matched the numbers needed to claim the $94.5 million jackpot. So, the next time we play Powerball on Saturday night those who play will be hoping to earn an estimated top prize of $112 million.

The Texas Lottery has confirmed that a Texas-sold ticket did claim one of Wednesday's top prizes. There was a one million dollar Match 5 winner sold in Michigan but that was it for the "seven-digit" wins. The Texas winner matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball, by rule that's a $50,000 win. The ticket's purchaser did not opt in to the Power Play option for the game. If they did, their winnings would have been tripled.

If you'd like to verify your numbers you may do so at the Official Powerball Website or the Official Texas Lottery Website. We suggest you check your numbers at those "official" sites because you can confirm prize winnings and arrange collection for your prizes.

By the way, the numbers that we saw drawn last night in the Powerball for Wednesday, September 4, 2024, were:

07   10   21   33   59   Powerball 20   Power Play x3

There was no jackpot winner in Wednesday's Lotto Texas with Extra! drawing but two tickets sold in that game earned a prize of over $12,000. The Lotto Texas Jackpot will now climb to an estimated $17.25 million when they draw in that game on Saturday.

Friday night's Mega Millions game will offer a jackpot prize of $740 million. That game has not had a jackpot winner since the first week in June. Based on our observations it's safe to assume that Mega Millions won't go too much longer without having a jackpot winner.
