Here is how the Powerball drawing played out just before 10 pm on October 9, 2024.

The last time Powerball produced a jackpot winner was in August of 2024. The amount won in that game was $20 million. Previously Powerball earned a Pennsylvania player a top prize of $213 million in a drawing that was held on August 12th.

Our sources at Powerball revealed that no tickets sold across the game's national footprint matched the numbers needed to with the jackpot last night. However, a ticket sold in California and another ticket sold in Pennsylvania did match all the white ball numbers to claim a Match 5 Million prize.

The Texas Lottery has confirmed that almost 43,000 tickets purchased in the state were prize winners on Wednesday night. The largest prize earned by a Texas-sold ticket was $50,000. That ticket missed the big money by one number. The ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball, by rule that is a $50,000 win. The ticket holder did not opt for the Power Play option which would have tripled the winnings to $150,000.

Before you attempt to claim any prizes make sure you verify your ticket against the numbers posted on the Official Texas Lottery Website or the Official Powerball Website. You can also get prize redemption information from those sites.

There was no jackpot winner generated by that drawing. The largest prize awarded in Lotto Texas with Extra was $11,988. Only one ticket sold in Texas earned that prize. There were eleven other tickets sold for that game that earned a prize of 1,988 dollars.
