Texas Lottery : Texas-Sold Ticket is Saturday Powerball Winner
I am guessing the memo to "buy more ink" for the Texas Lottery check printing machine has already been sent. Late Friday or Early Saturday depending on when you saw the news we informed you of a $2 million Mega Millions win in Arlington, Texas. That win was part of a streak of big Texas Mega Millions wins that included big payouts in San Antonio and Lubbock.
Naturally, if there was a Match 5 Million win in the Mega Millions game on Friday you know the "Powerball gods" wanted to show that they could produce a big Texas win and they did. Our inside source at Powerball dropped the news early this morning and our sources at the Texas Lottery confirmed the revelation. For the second day in a row, the Texas Lottery has created an instant Texas Millionaire.
Here's how Saturday's Powerball drawing played out for January 25, 2025.
The estimated annuitized jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing was $47.8 million, the lump sum payout on a ticket that matched all the numbers would have been $21.3 million. But no ticket sold for Saturday's game matched the numbers needed to claim that jackpot prize so now the game's jackpot will grow to an estimated $56 million for the annuity and $24 million for the cash payout on Monday night.
Since we know there was a big winner in Texas let's get the numbers for you to review.

Y'all do know Powerball pays a prize just for matching the Powerball, right? There are many ways to win with Powerball and if you think you're holding a winning ticket you'll want to visit the Official Texas Lottery website or the Official Powerball website. You may verify your tickets at those sites and get valuable information on how and where to redeem your ticket for the prizes you've won.
We know of at least two Texas Lottery players who will be visiting a Texas Lottery regional office in the coming days. One of those Texas winners will be heading in to redeem a $150,000 Powerball winner from Saturday. That ticket matched four of five white balls and the Powerball and is worth $50,000 but the player opted for the Power Play multiplier which bumped that prize amount up to $150,000.
That Texas-sold ticket would have held the title for "largest prize won" in last night's game if it were not for another Texas-sold tick. This ticket matched all five of the white balls but missed on the Powerball. That is a Match 5 Million winner and it was sold in the Texas town of Helotes at the Gasgo Market on Highway 16. If you're not familiar Helotes is in Bexar County and is the greater San Antonio area.
Lotto Texas with Extra! continues to play on and on. Saturday night that Texas Lottery game drew for a top prize of $72 million. There was no jackpot winner so the top prize offered in the game will climb to $73.5 for the annuity or $39 million for the cash payout.
Lotto Texas did produce three winners of $12,204 last night and twenty more winners who earned a prize of $2,204. Lotto Texas with Extra! draws next on Monday night along with the Powerball game.
