
Texas Citizens May Have Dangerous Igloo Cooler in Their Possession
Igloo has announced a recall of more than 1 million of its popular coolers sold across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
The recall on the popular recall has been issued due to a hazard with the handle on it, which has resulted in injuries to hands and fingertips. In some cases, people have lost their fingertips due to the danger presented by one particular Igloo cooler.
The ice chest under this recall is the “Igloo 90 Qt. Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers.” The handle on it can pinch your hand against the cooler, thus causing serious bodily injuries.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that Igloo has received 12 injury reports in the U.S. due to the handle on this cooler. The injuries reported included fingertip amputations, bone fractures, and lacerations.
Now, if you have the Igloo 90 Qt. Flip & Tow Rolling Cooler you are urged to stop using the cooler immediately and to contact Igloo so that a replacement handle can be sent to you.
According to the recall, the coolers causing injuries to hands were sold in places like Costco, Target, Dick’s, and Amazon between 2019 and January 2025. The coolers under this recall were sold in various coolers and the word "Igoo" is printed on the side.
