As we dive into September, we are normally talking about the peak of hurricane season, but changes in the temperature could be on the way.

Sure, hurricane season is still the focus for many who live along the Gulf Coast, but anytime we have a chance to escape the dreaded summer heat and humidity in the deep south, it warrants you and me to get excited.

While many will be looking to the south of us, towards the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic, it is worth noting that some in the meteorology world are saying there's a really good chance that we could get Fall-Like weather in the deep south by early September.

Just a few days ago we got a slight taste of Fall with much lower dew points, and this next front could bring even more pleasant conditions to the area.

Some parts of north Louisiana or Texas may even see temperatures drop into the lower to mid-80s, which is rare in early September.

So, if you're a fan of cooler days and nights, you may have an early Christmas present coming, now let's just hope this front does not draw any tropical weather towards the Gulf Coast.

For those wondering, Fall officially arrives on September 22 and hurricane season goes through November.

It's been a brutal summer for many in the south, so yes, we do deserve a break and cooler temperatures.
