Texas Teens Who Ran Away From Home Crash Vehicle in Louisiana
Two teenagers from Texas, who ran away from their home, crashed the vehicle that they were driving in Louisiana.
According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office, two 13-year-old females were in the vehicle that crashed into a tree along US-71 near the Natchitoches-Winn Parish line.
The driver of the car reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, crossed the center line, and then hit a tree. Only one of the occupants in the vehicle sustained minor injuries that were not life-threatening.
EMS assessed the injured teen and did not have to transport her to the hospital, so she was handed over to authorities. Both teens were taken back to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office and later released to relatives.
Authorities say the teens drove from Atlanta, Texas before crashing in central Louisiana. No other vehicles were involved in this early morning crash.
