Thieves In Danger

MEXICO CITY (AP) —A scientist in Mexico says whoever stole radioactive material and removed it from its container wouldn't have long to live after coming into contact with the cobalt-60.

A truck containing the dangerous material was stolen Monday at a gas station, and the substance was found Wednesday abandoned in central Mexico.

A physicist for Mexico's nuclear commission says anyone who opened the protective box containing the cobalt-60 is in grave danger.
