It can be hard enough to have a business and to try to earn a living these days, and these pursuits become even more difficult when thieves take off with important equipment.

Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson reports, via press release, that while they ended up recovering the stolen utility trailer, they have not found the person who was responsible for ripping it off in the first place.

So, when did all of this happen? The theft and then the discovery of the utility trailer all happened on the same day; Saturday, January 30.

Gibson says that the trailer was stolen from a place called Bocage Crawfish which is on Egan Highway, and then later on, the trailer was recovered from a place south of Iota. This all started unfolding at about 1:30 in the morning. When the utility trailer was found, it was later in the day and it was located on Grovat Road.

You can see from the pictures in this story that the area was covered by security cameras. Detectives would like to find the person who took this trailer. If you can help with that, you should know that this vehicle is a white GMC Yukon. The vehicle is a little bit older.

When you give information to Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers that information can earn you some cash. If your information leads to an arrest, you may receive a cash reward. The amount of the reward for information varies, but it could be as large as a $1,000 reward.

If you want to anonymously give information to authorities about who might have stolen this trailer, then you can call Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers at 337-789-TIPS(8477). Calling on the Crime Stoppers line isn't the only way that you can provide information. You can download the P3 app on your phone to report information about any crime. Giving information through this app is also anonymous.
