Two Women Convicted Of Murder In Lake Charles Look At Life In Prison
Robin Little Davis and Carol Noland Saltzman were convicted in May of second degree murder of Bryan Davis, Robin's husband. Bryan Davis was shot four times on June 29, 2009 and his body was recovered two days later.
Life in prison is the only option left after lesser sentences were removed from the possible options.
Presiding Judge David Ritchie rejected requests on Wednesday for acquittal or a new trial.
Defense attorneys Glenn Vamvoras and Shane Hiunch stated that prosecutor Rick Bryant had not completely laid out the prosecution's plan in his 16-page opening statement.
Judge Ritchie said that Bryant's opening statement was thin, but met legal requirements.
