An Opelousas woman is the second person facing charges in connection with two shootings in the city.

According to the Opelousas Police Department, Allie Roy is facing eight counts of attempted first-degree murder, seven counts of drive-by shooting, and one count of armed robbery.

Roy is facing those charges in connection with a February 9 shooting on Pulford Street and a February 23 shooting on Patsy Street. In the Pulford Street shooting, someone fired multiple shots at a home occupied by seven people, including children. In the Patsy shooting, a man was robbed at gunpoint and shot in the back.

Last week, police identified Deandra Weston and Markentae Williams as suspects in the Patsy Street shooting. Weston is in custody. He's also facing attempted murder and drive-by shooting charges in connection with the Pulford Street Shooting. Williams is still at large.
