Highway 711 In Vermilion Parish Is Closed

A culvert under Highway 711 in Vermilion Parish collapsed, and that is forcing DOTD to close the road just north of Highway 3143.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation closed the road immediately after the problem was discovered.

Detour routes are Highways 14, 91 and 3143.

DOTD is asking for drivers to be on the lookout for their work crews and all of the equipment.
