A section of Mills Street in Scott will be closing for about four hours on Wednesday, January 15.

The reason for the closure is that there is a tree that needs to be removed.

Scott Police Chief Chad Leger says that the 800 block of Mills Street will be closed from 8:30 Wednesday morning through 12:30 p.m. The section of Mills Street between Wheat Circle and Rice Circle is the area that will be closed while the tree is removed.

Leger says if you are looking to detour around that areas he says they will have barricades on Mills Street at its intersection at Renaud Drive along with a barricade at Mills Street at Frontage Road.

Not to worry, if you live in this area, you will be allowed to get to and from your home.
