Starbucks Coffee has locations everywhere - as of last year, there were 29,324 locations around the globe.  Each one of those locations uses a whole lot of coffee beans, milk, water, and electricity to pump out countless cups of caffeinated bliss.  Since the Seattle based company has touted itself as a "kinder" corporation that focuses on social consciousness as much as bottom lines, it has invested a great deal of money in solar farms.  The hope is to alleviate each stores carbon footprint as much as possible.  Their latest planet-loving move should make a big impact in Texas.

According to the News & Observer, Starbucks has announced that it will expand its investment in solar farms in order to power hundreds of locations in the Lone Star State.  The deal announced this week with Cypress Creek Renewables and U.S. Bank will pull enough of the sun's sweet sweet rays to keep the lights on and the espresso pumping in 360 Texas stores.  This pipeline of power from the sky will be powering sites in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Arlington.
