Texas Lottery Confirms Massive Mega Millions Lottery Win Friday
Friday night thoughts in Texas can often center around high school football in places like Malakoff or Duncanville. Perhaps in Austin, it's a discussion about the Longhorns and Florida on Saturday, or maybe out in the panhandle near Borger and Muleshoe, it was contemplation about the cosmos next to a nice campfire as you count the stars.
Meanwhile for a select few Texans, okay, it's actually a lot of us that spend at least a minute on Friday night contemplating financial freedom, whimsical spending, and luxuries untold as we wait for the bi-weekly Mega Millions Lottery drawing.
The Mega Millions multi-state lottery game is the current "darling" of the lottery world. Me and my fellow Lotologists, yes, that's a thing, have noticed an uptick in Mega Millions play ever since there was a big winner in the Powerball game not too long ago.
Lottery players love seeking the largest prize and this week that belonged to Mega Millions. Here is how the drawing unfolded on Friday night if you missed seeing it live.
Before we get to the numbers, how do we feel about John Crow's suit? Good choice? Is he violating some kind of obscure "not after Labor Day" vibe? John's a good guy, actually and he does a great job changing people's lives with the Mega Millions drawing. By the way, the top prize on Friday night was $334 million.
Did Anyone Win The Mega Millions Jackpot?
Our sources at Mega Millions and the Texas Lottery confirmed there were no jackpot winners sold for Friday's game. However, apparently, Texas had one of two massive Match 5 Million wins in last night's game.
The ticket that matched all five of the "white balls" would be a one-million-dollar winner just for matching that scenario. However, the ticket's purchaser spent the extra dollar to opt-in on the game's Megaplier. For Friday's game that multiplier was "times 3".
That means the Texas ticket, which we have confirmed was sold at the El Rio Grande Latin Market in Fort Worth, Texas is worth $3 million this morning. In Mega Millions a Match 5 Prize is directly affected by the Megaplier option. In Powerball, a Match 5 Million with Power Play will only double the million-dollar prize.
Our sources at the Texas Lottery revealed Friday's Mega Millions drawing created over 57,000 winners. Other big wins noted in Texas from Friday? There were four tickets sold that matched four and the Mega Ball for a $10,000 win. Two other tickets matched that same winning scenario but opted for the Megaplier so their payout will be $30,000.
What Were The Mega Millions Winning Numbers for Friday November 8, 2024?
Based on what we saw roll out of the hopper we'd go with:
25 28 42 64 69 Mega Ball 19 Megaplier x3
Please verify your tickets at the Official Mega Millions Website or the Official Texas Lottery Website. Those sites are the official sources to confirm winning tickets. And, they can offer helpful information on how to claim your prize in a timely manner as well.
Tonight's Powerball drawing will offer the chance to win an estimated annuitized jackpot of $92 million. That prize would be $43.4 if you opted for the lump sum. There will also be a Lotto Texas with Extra! drawing. That game from the Texas Lottery is overdue to make a winner, at least in my opinion. Tonight's estimated top prize in Lotto Texas is $39 million.
