For the second night in a row, the Texas Lottery has confirmed a new millionaire in the Lone Star State. Friday night the Mega Millions game created a new multi-millionaire in Houston, Texas when a ticket sold there hit for $3 million.  Now comes word confirmed not only by the Texas Lottery but by Powerball that a ticket sold for Saturday's drawing matched the numbers needed to take one of the game's top prizes.

When the Powerball drawing was held on Saturday night, May 25, 2024, the estimated annuitized top prize was $121,300,000. There were no tickets sold across the Powerball footprint that matched the numbers needed to claim that prize.

Here is how the numbers were drawn, if you missed watching it as it was presented.

As the ping pong balls bounded out of the hopper these were the numbers that were revealed.

Make sure you verify those numbers by checking them at the Official Powerball Website or the Official Texas Lottery Website. Those sites can not only confirm your numbers but will allow you to enter more than one ticket number if you played multiple tickets. You may also find out exactly what your prize amount is and where you need to go to claim that prize.

And the Texas Lottery has confirmed that Texas Powerball players have a lot of money to claim. In addition to the Match 5 Million tickets that matched all of the white balls and only missed the Powerball, there were four other big-money winners sold in Texas.

The Match 5 Million prize, which was the largest prize paid out by Powerball this past Saturday, belongs to a ticket holder who played Powerball in Moore, Texas at the Road Ranger #270 on I-35. Moore is a community in Frio County Texas. It's located just to the southwest of San Antonio.

The Texas Lottery is also showing two $50,000 winners from Saturday night's Powerball game and two more $150,000 winners. In the case of both of those winners, the ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. The $150,000 winning tickets opted in on the Power Play that's why that prize is "3 times larger".
