The first full weekend of October is coming up and you know what that means… The Louisiana Cattle Festival is returning for its 72nd year.

This year the festival will take place on October 7-9, 2022 at the Red Barn located at 2901 Old Erath Road in Abbeville, La.


This is a must-attend festival. There will be a parade, pageant, hot air balloon rides, family events, live entertainment, and great food.

There is no festival gate fee and VIP parking on the festival grounds is $10.

The Festival will kick off on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 6 pm with the Festival opening ceremonies and will stay open until 11 pm, weather permitting.

On Saturday, October 8, 2022, the festival will open at 11 am and stay open until 11 pm.

Sunday, October 9, 2022, the festival grounds will open at 11 am but a reception for the Queens and Dignitaries will begin at 10:30 am. The festival will stay open until 5 pm.
